2<\/span>In 019 we changed our name from EHL (Electrical Household Appliance Suppliers) to APPLiA, which is an abbreviation<\/span>The reason was that we wanted to share the same name as our European organization and the majority of the national counterparts in Europe in order to gain a greater audience and impact for our business.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

However, for administrative reasons, our service company EHL AB has retained its old name until this summer when we took the final step and changed our name to APPLiA Sverige AB.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Reference response submitted for Right to repair<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

During the summer, the proposal for Right To Repair, which follows from the ECO Design Directive, has been out for consultation before implementation in Swedish legislation. APPLiA has of course responded as the consultation body. In short, it is proposed to increase the circular use of products in society. Suppliers should keep spare parts longer, make repair instructions available to repairers to enable consumers to have their products repaired to a greater extent.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

APPLiA supports the circular use of products but points out that more legislative changes are needed within, among other things, RUT and the Electronics Tax to achieve an increased circular economy regarding these products.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
