These products included electronics, jewelry and pesticides. APPLiA members have long worked to improve the environmental performance of products and comply with chemical legislation such as REACH* and RoHS**, which phase out hazardous chemicals from everyday products.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Market surveillance is extremely important for the responsible authorities to carry out continuously, which we at APPLiA support as it maintains competition on a level playing field. APPLiA works to ensure that legislation on the use of chemicals at both EU and global level is harmonised and clear.
