APPLiA's consultation response on over-indexing the electronics tax

The government has proposed that in addition to the annual increase in the electronics tax, an additional addition to the tax should also be introduced, so-called over-indexation by 2 percent.

Such over-indexation means, over a 20-year period, a 50 percent increase in taxes without the Riksdag having made any new decisions. With this type of over-indexation, for example, more than half of the final price of a washing machine at the consumer level will consist of tax, which does not seem reasonable.

APPLiA has pointed this out in its response to the consultation, read the full consultation response here.

It is desirable that everyone affected by the electronics tax responds to the consultation.

APPLiA has developed a simple response template that affected members can use as a basis, with reference to APPLiA's response, together we are strong!
