Foreign e-commerce must pay Chemicals Tax
The government has listened to APPLiA and all the other critical voices regarding the exemption from taxation that exists for foreign e-commerce that sells white goods etc. to Swedish consumers. This has severely disadvantaged Swedish players in the trade, which are covered by the tax that exists on white goods and certain other home electronics, the so-called Chemicals Tax. The government's goal is now that this tax for foreign players will begin to be levied on 1 October 2020.
