Trend scouting CES – Consumer Electronics Show

The transformation of CES has been ongoing for many years, and in 2015 the organizer changed its name from CEA (Consumer Electronics Association) to CTA (Consumer Technology Association). From being a trade show fundamentally connected to radio and TV, it has evolved over time to showcase all types of products that connect the home and the consumer – making it one of the world's largest trade shows.

CES has also evolved into a trade fair with a strong focus on technology and technological innovations. This year's innovations included robotics, digitalization and charging structures. For many, parts of this may still be perceived as industrial products, but change is happening incredibly quickly and more and more business is being done by consumers.

The connected home was another interesting theme, with several companies showcasing an impressive range of product categories ranging from everyday tasks to fitness, alarms and security.

A company previously associated mostly with TV has now unveiled a concept car. It is becoming increasingly clear that companies are not only further developing their products with new technology, but are also following the trend of finding new product segments to try to enter as well-established brands.

Up to 150,000 visitors and the same number of exhibitors as before the pandemic visited Las Vegas this year. Although no hall was used at the Convention Center, this year they have brought together several activities, which previously moved out of the fair to various hotels, to become a more visible part of the fair.

CES is still one of the largest trade shows in the world and continues to be the most interesting trade show in terms of product development and trends. I recommend everyone who has the opportunity to visit to take the chance to see into the future today.
