IFA 2023 is fully booked
In mid-August, IFA Management GmbH was able to announce that IFA 2023 is fully booked, every square meter of the 130,000 square meters of exhibition space is filled. 2,059 exhibitors, of which 70 percent are returning and 30 percent new, from 48 countries will be on site in the 26 exhibition halls from September 1-5.
IFA made a comeback as a physical trade fair last year after a pandemic break and was visited by just over 161,000 people. Of these, nearly 2,500 were from the media. This year, the organizers expect 180,000 visitors, which means that the trade fair is slowly but surely regaining its visitors. In 2019, the number of visitors was 238,700 people, of which 5,360 were from the media.
Two new features at this year’s show are ”The Sustainability Village,” a dedicated zone addressing the most important challenges in the tech industry, and ”House of Robots,” an interactive experience inside the Robotics Hub, featuring four leading robot manufacturers. Two notable companies exhibiting at IFA for the first time are SpaceX and Tesla.
Last year, there was a virtual platform called IFA Virtual, which aimed to enhance and enhance the experience of the fair, and where all IFA keynotes were broadcast live while some other events were available as video clips the day after they were held. This year, however, there is no virtual platform, but the entire fair is experienced on site.
If you are not in Berlin at the beginning of September, there is however the possibility to stay updated to some extent via IFA Industry News and IFA Content Hub, as well as via the fair's press releases.
