ARN: Dryer fault – replacement and payment exemption for service invoices

The customer purchased a dryer in September 2018. The customer discovered from the beginning that there was an unusually high amount of lint and that several towels were torn. In October 2020, the customer complained about the fault and on 2 occasions technicians were on site, the company has also taken the machine in for long-term testing.

 

The customer has received 2 invoices totaling SEK 6,188. The customer requests redelivery and payment exemption for the service invoices.

The manufacturer has diagnosed the product at the customer's request. The company has informed the customer that a charge will be made if the original fault is not found.

ARN notes from the documents in the case that the consumer only complained about the defect 2 years after it was discovered. It is also noted that based on the service report, there is no proven defect.

ARN rejects the customer's claim.
