This year the fairs return

Due to the pandemic, virtually all trade fairs have been canceled in 2020 and 2021, but 2022 began with CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas, in both digital and physical form – and now it's almost time for Elon Expo, EuroCucina and IFA.

In 2021, CES was a completely digital trade show, but this year the trade show took place on site in Las Vegas on January 5-7 (at the eleventh hour it was announced that the trade show would be shortened by one day) and parts of the trade show – for example, many of the press conferences – were streamed, so that people could participate remotely.

The 2,300 exhibiting companies at CES were visited by just over 40,000 people (which is about a quarter compared to a typical year), of which 30 percent were international visitors from 119 countries.

Elon Expo

This year, Elon Expo will be held in Örebro from May 31 to June 3 (Tuesday to Friday, week 22). Camilla Waldmark, PR & Communications Manager at Elon Group AB, says that this year Elon is holding the expo together with Electra (with whom they are in the process of merging as a company) and that this year it will be truly Nordic, with visitors from all Nordic countries.

EuroCucina & FTK

The 60th edition of Salone del Mobile. Milano will be held at Fiera Milano Rho from 7 to 12 June 2022. The event will focus on quality, innovation, beauty and, now more than ever, sustainability.

The event includes the fairs EuroCucina, FTK (Technology For the Kitchen) and International Bathroom Exhibition.

The 23rd edition of EuroCucina will have 82 exhibitors on 16,000 square meters, and exhibitors at the sister fair FTK include AEG, Asko, Beko, Bertazzoni, Bosch, BSH, Electrolux, Grundig, Neff, Samsung, Siemens and Smeg.

More information about EuroCucina and FTK (Technology For the Kitchen) can be found at here.

IFA

IFA will be held in Berlin from September 2-6, 2022.

”Now it is finally time to face the facts and once again organize a full-scale trade fair at Messe Berlin, in a city that is not only the capital of Europe’s largest consumer market but has also developed into the European media hub. Many leading global brands have already committed to participating. Right now we are registering strong demand in the IFA Fitness & Digital Health area and in the household appliances segment,” says Jens Heithecker, IFA Executive Director, Executive Vice President Messe Berlin Group.

IFA is arranging a digital press conference this afternoon (April 27), where they will provide more information about this autumn's fair, which you can read more about. here.
