Two megatrends dominate CES in Las Vegas
On January 5, the doors of the world's largest tech trade show, the Consumer Electronics Show, CES, will open in Las Vegas. After being held only in a virtual edition in 2021, a hybrid event is planned this year, shortened from four to three days. Two megatrends are presented by CES.
CES provides a glimpse into the future and what is happening or planned to happen in technology 3-5 years from now. The two megatrends that CES predicts will dominate are intelligent automation and development of the metaverse. Smart homes, health and wellness are some of the areas the show covers that affect our industry. CES also covers several other major technology areas such as 5G, AI and robotics in both the home and industrial environments.
The reduction in the number of fair days came after several exhibitors canceled their participation and television companies announced that they were reducing coverage, reports DN. Those participating on site must have a vaccination certificate and a face mask.
With current travel restrictions and new pandemic rules, there will probably not be as many Swedes attending on site as in a normal year. However, the fair will to some extent follow online here, which can be a good way to get an idea of the latest trends and what interests you most.
