Peder Qwist new board member of Applia Sweden
– Severin has been a member of Applia for many years. As a representative of a member company, I see it as natural and obvious to also stand as a member of the organization's board when asked. It will be incredibly exciting to be able to participate and strengthen the industry together with colleagues on the board, says Peder Qwice. 
Peder works as Nordic Country Manager at Severin, focusing on developing the company from a primarily Swedish one to a pan-Nordic one over time.
– I have over 36 years of experience in both the brown and white goods industry but started at Severin in May 2022. One of my assignments is to build distribution and relationships between our Nordic customers in the long term. The goal is to strengthen the brand and build a stable company with strategic partners throughout the Nordic region.
With his extensive industry experience, he hopes to be able to contribute to the board in large and small ways.
– Right now I am of course passionate about everything within SDA and small electricity. But I also think that the industry's commitment regarding the electronics tax is important and I hope to be able to contribute with input there. I also see it as central that we are seen and heard in the right forum and as a board member I will stand up and represent the industry whenever needed.
Peder sees increased member engagement and further focus on driving the association forward as a unit as two of the most important goals for Applia's operations right now.
– Over time, having a stronger association with more members strengthens us as an industry and our credibility as an industry organization. Then we will have even more opportunities to influence in the right direction for a long-term sustainable and stable industry, he concludes.
