Product news: A quartet of big and small news

Four companies are now launching a number of new products, including induction hobs with integrated fan and flexible zones from Electrolux, an updated version of Bertazzoni's freestanding French door fridge and freezer, a third model in De'Longhi's series of manual espresso machines called La Specialista, and an electric whisk from Wilfa, developed and designed for the Nordic kitchen.

Electrolux

An induction hob with integrated fan provides greater freedom in kitchen planning and creates space for both cooking and socializing, explains Electrolux, which is now launching its first induction hob with integrated fan, in two versions called 800 Bridge and 800 FlexiBridge, both in size 83 cm. Using the fan with Hob2Hood technology, the fan's performance is automatically adjusted as needed and continues to work until the cooking smell is completely gone.

”The traditional kitchen layout can limit the scope for creativity and we see that today’s consumers are looking for more and more freedom when planning an upgrade for their kitchen. With our new induction hob with integrated extractor hood, we are giving our customers the opportunity to design kitchens that are more welcoming and provide space for larger groups to socialize while the food is being prepared,” says Alexander Pierrou, General Manager Nordics, Electrolux.

Bertazzoni

The best-selling Bertazzoni REF90X is now replaced by the new REF904FFNXTC, a freestanding French door fridge and freezer that has the same stylish design and exclusive stainless steel finish as its predecessor, the company announces. The news is that you don't have to fill up the built-in ice maker with water, as the product now has a fixed water connection. Another difference from its predecessor is that the new model has energy class E while the predecessor has energy class F.

REF904FFNXTC (with 449 liters of refrigerator plus 187 liters of freezer) is available in three versions – to match other Bertazzoni products – where the only difference is the design of the metal handles. Professional has flat handles, Master has rounded handles and Heritage has rounded handles in a retro style.

”Bertazzoni is gradually hiring staff to develop, among other things, its own built-in products, and the new French door fridge and freezer is an example of the fruit of this work,” says Peter Ericsson, General Manager Bertazzoni Scandinavia.

De'Longhi

De'Longhi presents the latest addition to the La Specialista family, which now completes the collection of advanced coffee machines. The new coffee machine takes the very best of the La Specialista models Prestigio and Maestro and packages it in a new, smaller format, the company states.

”We created the La Specialista family to offer coffee lovers a true café experience at home. With Arte, you get that in a neat and accessible format that also becomes a stylish interior detail in the kitchen,” says Jean-Baptiste Viton, Senior Product Marketing Manager at De'Longhi.

La Specialista Arte offers eight grinding degrees and three temperature levels.

Wilfa

Wilfa is now launching Wilfa Smooth Mix as an electric whisk developed and designed in Norway for the Nordic kitchen.

”"The Smooth Mix electric whisk is designed so that everyone can get perfect whipped cream or easily mix together hamburger buns for dinner. With the whisk's range of speed levels, good whisks and smart storage of accessories, you get a complete solution," says Morten Hoff, CEO of Wilfa.

The electric mixer comes with a set of whisks and dough hooks. The Elvispen's unique holder for storing the accessories means you never have to search through drawers to find the whisks, you can conveniently store them on the electric mixer, the company announces.

The Elvispen has been developed in collaboration with pastry chef Elin Vatnar Nilsen, better known as Kremno_elin on Instagram, who also runs the website krem.no.

”"Wilfa's new electric whisk has five steps and starts at low speed, which is an advantage. This means that the ingredients are mixed gently at first. Then you can gradually increase the speed via five steps. For the best control of the whisking, it is worth starting at a lower speed and rather increasing the speed gradually. This way you get a perfect consistency for what you are going to whisk, such as whipped cream, which can quickly turn into butter if you whisk too hard for too long," says Elin Vatnar Nilsen.
