Report from EuroCucina
The kitchen – the soul of every home is the motto of this year's EuroCucina in Milan. EuroCucina is part of several trade fairs taking place simultaneously in Milan. It is flair, design, color, form and innovation that come together here.
As a visitor, you get a good picture not only of the kitchen but also of the bathroom, as well as lighting and furniture in all types of rooms in the home. The common thread at the end of the day is that the fair visitor, with all the new impressions, needs to consider how these impressions and news affect me and the personality in my home.
The playfulness of design in white goods continues to fascinate where hi-tech meets vintage. You have probably already seen SMEG's products developed with Dolce Gabbana and FIAT which were shown earlier, but they still continue to fascinate the visitor.
Products with new dimensions are being launched, with several products becoming both wider and taller, and the question is how these new dimensions will affect the future construction of kitchens in Sweden over time. If you build a completely new kitchen, it obviously doesn't matter if the products are not standardized, but will we in Sweden see a change over time where previously standardized dimensions in the kitchen now change?
Bertazzoni, another of APPLiA's members, is showing new products at home, including the launch of this lovely stove for cooking. A great piece with innovations that take center stage in the kitchen, while also showing history, which provides a nice contrast at the fair.
Bertazzoni was recently awarded two awards in the prestigious and international iF Design Award 2022, in the ”Product Design” category, for the freestanding 90 cm cooker PRO95I1ECAT and the wall-mounted cooker hood KT90P1ANT, both in the Carbonio colour and the Professional series. You can read more about this here.
The kitchen is, more or less consistently, the area that reflects the most memories from our childhood and the memories will therefore likely always influence our investment decisions in the future. After the summer, we look forward to IFA, which will show our products in a slightly different way than EuroCucina.
