Waffles in a new way!

Waffle Day is approaching and waffles can also be grilled in an iron over an open fire on the outing. Here Wilfa offers two delicious recipes that are perfect as a replacement for bread, breakfast, lunch and dinner.

 

Healthy and delicious oat waffles or maybe waffles with spinach that gives a nice color? The more spinach you have in the batter, the greener the waffles will be. Make the waffle batter directly in the blender and you'll have the waffle batter ready in no time.

Oat waffles, ingredients (10-12 pcs):

  • Oatmeal 4 dl
  • Wheat flour 1 dl
  • Baking powder 2 tsp
  • Cardamom 1-2 tsp
  • Milk 5 dl
  • Eggs 2 pcs
  • Liquid margarine or oil 4-5 tbsp
  • Add a little honey if you want a sweeter taste

Do this:

  • Blend oatmeal into oat flour in your blender.
  • Add wheat flour, baking powder, cardamom and possibly honey.
  • Stir in the milk and stir until it becomes a lump-free mixture.
  • Mix in beaten egg and margarine or oil.
  • Let the batter sit and swell for at least 15 minutes before frying the waffles.

Spinach waffles, ingredients:

  • 3 dl milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 70 g melted butter
  • 2 dl oatmeal (can be replaced with rye)
  • 2 dl sifted flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 120 g spinach or kale (can also use frozen)
  • 1 banana

Do this:

  • Pour all ingredients into the blender in the order in which the ingredients are listed in the recipe
  • Drive in the blender until the batter is completely smooth
  • Let the batter swell for approx. 15 min.
  • Preheat the waffle iron
  • Pour the waffle batter in the iron
  • Steak
  • Eat and enjoy!

If you are not using a blender You can finely chop the spinach or use a hand blender.
