New recruitments at Severin and Gram
Peder Qwist has taken over as Nordic manager at household appliance manufacturer Severin and has been replaced by Jonas Danielsson, who was appointed as Sweden manager at white goods manufacturer Gram in April. Jonas Danielsson most recently came from Hemmy and has previously worked at Electrolux, Tretti.se and Samsung, among others.
On May 2, Peder Qwist had his first day as the new Nordic manager at Severin. He most recently came from a position as Sweden manager at Gram but has also worked for 11 years at Electrolux. Peder is the successor to Leif Lindholm who, until his retirement this year, was responsible for Severin Svenska AB. The new recruitment also means that responsibility for Norway, Denmark and Finland will fall to Peder Qwist and he will therefore focus on strengthening Severin's position in the Nordic region. The Nordic countries have previously been operated from Germany via distributors.
In recent years, Severin has introduced a number of ”Hero Products” with the aim of strengthening both its own brand and product quality. Slowjuicers, tea makers with automatic lift function and the electric grills in the Sevo series are examples of such products.
-The quality journey has begun and now we are increasing the pace even more. The range will shrink slightly and we are instead investing more in Hero Products. The German part of our company has invested in new recruitment and has thus also gained a new way of thinking about our focus going forward. This is an effect of that and we will therefore strengthen Severin's Nordic profile even more, says Peder Qwist.
Two major launches are planned at Severin this fall, which we at APPLiAnytt will of course monitor and write more about.
Severin is one of Europe's largest manufacturers of electrical household appliances. The company was founded in 1892 and is headquartered in Sundern, Germany. Since 2018, the company has been fully owned by Knauf, which is a global player in plasterboard, among other things.
