ARN: Electronic fault in convection oven – cancellation and damages

The customer purchased a convection oven in December 2020. In February 2021, an electronic fault and a fault in the convection function were discovered. The electronic fault means that the oven signals that pyrolytic cleaning is needed abnormally often. The convection function does not work as desired as part of the food is burned at one end and becomes pale at the other end.

 

The customer requests cancellation and compensation of SEK 1,000 for time spent on the complaint.

The seller states that they fixed the error with cleaning when the alarm was reset, if the customer continues to have problems, they should return. When cooking in a convection oven, it is important that the hot air can circulate around the baked goods and food for the best effect.

Based on the documents in the case, ARN concludes that there is no remaining defect for which the seller is responsible.

ARN rejects the customer's claim.
