Elon Expo 2022 – Afternoon

APPLiAnytt visited Elon Expo 2022 on Thursday, June 2, and in the afternoon we visited the stands of Smeg, Ankarsrum, F&H Group, Wilfa and Electrolux.

IN Smeg's At the stand at Elon Expo 2022 there was of course the new Galileo, which combines a traditional oven, steam oven and microwave in one oven – as APPLiAnytt wrote about in here in connection with the launch in April.

Smeg's SDA products were of course also present at the company's stand at the fair, and Patrick Eriksson, Smeg, said that in the not-too-distant future – perhaps in 2023 – new coffee machines will be launched, with Smeg benefiting from the fact that they acquired La Pavoni in 2019 – we will have to come back to what type of coffee machine it will be.

Anchor room

Patricia Thornwall, Ankarsrum, was making ice cream with ice cream accessories that were launched just before Christmas when we visited the stand, and she hopes and believes that it will be a big seller this summer. New this year is that the kitchen assistant is available in the color "Sunbeam Yellow" - which means that it is currently available in 14 different colors.

The stand also featured their new store display that will highlight the product in stores, and Ankarsrum's latest video clip was playing on a large screen. Don't try this at home – Ankarsrum Challenge which can be seen on Youtube here.

F&H Group

Among other things, F&H Group's stand included a wireless hand blender from Bamix, which was launched on the market in May this year - a completely new product.

Hakan Persson, F&H Group, said that the new Bamix Cordless is just as powerful as the traditional, corded model, and that it can be used for 20 minutes before the battery needs to be charged – something that is conveniently done via the included charging stand, which can be attached to the wall. The new, cordless hand blender from Bamix is available in black, white and red.

The stand also featured grills from Rösle, which offers four different gas grills and two different charcoal grills, and roasting thermometers. F&H Group also showcased ”four-in-one” products from Morsø – a stove manufacturer that has expanded by offering stoves in two sizes that can also be used as a pizza oven, smoker and grill.

Wilfa

Wilfa's booth at Elon Expo 2022 featured all the new products the company launched this year, such as the Smooth Mix electric whisk and the PowerFuel XL blender. Visitors could also see the Fanily (TO4) and Lunch (TO2) toasters next to the Fresh air purifier, which is said to be very quiet and is intended for use in the bedroom as it can purify the air in a room of approximately 15 square meters.

Samuel Bergman, Wilfa, told us that they are now on the third generation of scooters, which are available in two versions at Elon (Wilfa offers a total of seven different models). The new scooters are called e-way e-5045 (500w motor and 45km range) and e-2540 (250w motor and 40km range) and the maximum speed is 20 km/h.

Electrolux

A very interesting product that was showcased at the Electrolux booth was the E9WHMIC1 – a microplastic filter that should be able to be connected to basically any washing machine (Electrolux states that it can be used with any Electrolux, AEG or Husqvarna washing machine) to reduce the amount of microplastic fibers that end up in the washing machine's wastewater.

The microplastic filter, which is mounted on the wall next to the washing machine, was launched on March 31 this year and is said to capture up to 90 percent of all microplastic fibers released from synthetic clothing during washing.

Arja Lundgren, Electrolux, said that the filter indicates when it is full and it is time to clean it using the included cleaning brush, and throw the collected microplastic fibers in the household trash. According to Electrolux, a filter lasts about six months, depending on the consumer's washing routine, and filter cartridges are available for purchase as an accessory, with the used cartridge placed in the plastic recycling.
