ARN: Cooking zone hob – lifting

The customer purchased a hob with a 5-year warranty in March 2019. In January 2021, the customer discovered that the hob was not heating the entire cooking zone, but only part of it. The customer requests to cancel the purchase.

The seller claims that the customer reported the touch panel faulty and in February 2021 it was replaced by a technician and worked flawlessly during a test run. In March 2021, the customer returned and claimed that the hob was not heating up at the edges of the cooking zone. Technicians have explained to the customer on site how magnetic fields work on an induction hob and, after troubleshooting, have determined that the hob is working according to specification.

Based on the documents in the case, ARN concludes that the hob no longer has any remaining defects under purchase law.

ARN therefore rejects the customer's claim.
