Microwave mug cake for Mother's Day?

We welcome back easy microwave recipes. This super simple mug cake is perfect to make in the microwave if mom has a sweet tooth and you don't feel like baking something fancy. Try mixing a teaspoon of instant coffee into the milk for a mild coffee flavor.

Ingredients (1 serving)

1 tbsp butter
2 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tbsp cocoa
½ teaspoon vanilla sugar
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 pinch of salt
2 tbsp milk
Optional icing sugar, whipped cream, berries

Do this (5 minutes)

1. Melt the butter in a cup or glass that holds at least 2 dl in the microwave.
2. Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl and pour over the butter. Add the milk and mix until smooth.
3. Bake in the microwave on full power for about 1 minute.*
4. Dust the cake with a little icing sugar or serve with, for example, whipped cream and berries.

*Microwave ovens can vary in power, so be careful that the cake does not overflow or become too dry.
